(SB at Kyo) Snakebite sidles up to Kyo, throwing an arm around the other's shoulders and pulling them closer. "Well, hey there~ What brings you to this little shindig? Want to get a drink, maybe?"
Tumblr media
"I-I-" Kyo stammered for a moment. She hadn't been prepared to be approached by someone who checked so many of her boxes, and the coquito was NOT helping matters. She scrambled for a moment trying to think of something to say. Anything.
"I came on a visit to Nathaniel and his friends," she finally managed. Kyo took a deep breath in to regain part of her composure, hoping to not make a complete and utter fool of herself. "A drink... sounds nice, yes. You'll have to tell me what brings you to visit as well." Kyo suddenly found herself very desperate to know if Nat was familiar with this very attractive person and why he had failed to mention them at all before.

"Fascinating!" Kyo said, "The universe continues to be such a diverse and unexpected place."
Light spun around a bit in delight. "Zzt zzt! Correct, I am a Rotom! I was bred specifically-"
Agatha's sudden disappearance under the waves cuts its answer off, leaving Kyo and Light in stunned silence.
"Zzt zzt... was it something I said?" Light asked quietly.
Kyo furrowed her eyebrows and shook her head. "No, Light, I think something else spooked her. Come on, let's head back to the bar."
(AskTheWhiteRocket) “Oh my, what an usual Pokémon,” Kyo remarks with awe. “Zzt zzt! My records indicate this Pokémon is a darkrai!” Light chimed in. “A darkrai? Fascinating! Are all darkrai like you where you are from?” She asked Agatha.

(@agent-morpeko) Alicia approaches the duo. She takes a peak on a Kyo's bracelet with a blue R.
"Hello! How's going? The bracelet...hmm...how did you get one? Also, a R? Is that a Team Rocket symbol? Not going to interfere you, but, I have a bit suspicions here cause Team Rocket used to steal Pokémon back when humans existed in my world..."
Kyo waited a moment as Meowstic translated for her and fiddled with the charm bracelet as Alicia brought her attention to it. It hadn't occurred to her that this would give things away so quickly even when she wasn't in her usual uniform.
"A common misconception and one I won't fault you for, but you need not worry. I am not associated with the Team Rocket you speak of. The program I work for is actually a form of counter to them, meant to rectify the damage they caused Kanto and the world at large. Or at least as much as we can," Kyo explained.
She tutted a little in thought. "Like any other politician, Kanto's decided that acronyms and symbolism trump common sense, so when devising this plan, they opted to name it the WHT RCKT, or White Rocket, program. This in turn led to them adopting the infamous R, but in a dark blue instead of the usual bright red. A bit of a poor design choice, if you ask me, but they didn't so here we are."
Meg looped her arm with Kyo's and offered Alicia a bit grin. "Meowstic and I can vouch for her. Kyo's never stolen anything, except maybe the hearts of a couple women."
Kyo let out a loud laugh and rolled her eyes. "I doubt it, but I appreciate the vote of confidence, Meg." She looked back at Alicia. "Nathaniel, the usual host for this event, would also be willing to testify on my behalf. You need not worry about any sort of criminal activity from me."

Ultra high quality scans of Kyo’s pages in the ANDROGYNOS -The Final War- Day 2 pamphlet
Please do not repost these pictures anywhere and consider simply linking to this post instead.

Pokeask Magi Retreat 2025 Exit Post
As the sun rose over the island, indicating the end of the festivities, Meg cracked open her eyes and groaned a little. Currently situated in a hammock on the beach, Meg glanced over to the one next to her to find Kyo still completely passed out, currently face down with a leg hanging out of the hammock in what was definitely not a comfortable position. Meg couldn't help but giggle as she wondered if perhaps they'd partied just a bit too much during the night.
After they'd collected their bottles of coquito from Gabe, the two had continued to drink throughout the night, making merry and chatter until the noise got a bit too much and they decided to retire. Gabe had pointed them to some nearby hammocks where they'd both promptly passed out, the coquito hitting them both for its round 3 knock out.
Meg covered her eyes a bit as the sun began to send a stinging sensation through her head. Considering Kyo was currently in no state to ride a taxi back home, Meg decided to get comfortable in the hammock. Surely Nat and company wouldn't mind them sleeping off their hangovers before they headed home.

Kyo shook her head. "No, he's not around. I last saw him with Yuko in Sinnoh when I punched out Nathaniel's father. Though I did spy Claire over by the bar earlier."
"I know he likes to follow you around and whatnot, so that's why I asked," she clarified. Having your own space is good, though. I hope you enjoy your time here."
(@askthewhiterocket) "Oh, Crewel!" Kyo calls out to the Banette as she approaches. "Fancy seeing you here. Are Yuko and Lance around or is it just you here tonight?"
Crewel grinned a little wider as Kyo drew closer.
"Oh, hey. it's been a while, huh?"
He took a moment to pop a bit of fruit into his mouth, chewing happily and swallowing before answering.
"It's just me here tonight. I wanted a little bit of space and fun before heading home."
Crewel looks a little worried for a moment.
"Why'd you mention Lance? Has he been around lately...?"

"Hah! Thank you," Kyo said as she took the glass. She sipped the coquito quietly as she listened to Nat let his own walls down and shared a tale of his own.
She had no idea they were Unova-born as well, making a mental note to ask about it later, but unfortunately, Nat's tale was an all too common one for Castelia. The city, for all its flashiness, had a dark underbelly. It was rife with crime, and being a port city made it a hot spot for trafficking.
"I'm sorry, that sounds absolutely awful," Kyo said as Nat finished his story. "And at that young of an age too, I can't imagine. You may not have wholly understood back then, but you still lost a friend. Growing up with that could not have been easy for either of you."
Kyo took another sip of her coquito and adjusted her glasses. "Speaking from experience, it can be hard to let down the walls you've built up around the pain. Especially when you have others relying on you. There is a reason I left Meowstic with Meg for this conversation." She nodded her head towards her companions in the distance. "My abilities mean that my emotions can have a great impact on psychic-types around me. When dealing with the Pokemon that I do, I must remain stoic or else I risk driving them into a frenzy, or worse." She smirked a little. "I would know, I have the scars to prove it," she said with a laugh.
"Gabe is a Ciquex like you, is he not? Perhaps he feels similarly. He knows the weight of the expectations on him, as you do. People in positions of leadership can be fearful of letting those walls drop, lest it harm those around them." Kyo looked over towards Gabe and shrugged. "But that could be entirely off base. You know him far better than I do."
"I could try to talk to him if you'd like, but I can't guarantee it would do much of anything." Kyo's gaze returned to Meg as she took another sip from her coquito. By now, her companion had set up the travel telescope and was in the process of giving Meowstic another of her stargazing lectures. Kyo smiled a little. "Sometimes it just takes finding the right person to start tearing down the walls you've built around yourself."
(From here)
[Nat listened intently to what Kyo had to say, feeling his own heart twist in his chest the more that he heard. It was difficult to articulate what he wanted to say-sympathy didn't feel enough, expressing condolences wasn't going to change anything. Watching the tears roll from someone who had appeared so stoic until now had him reflecting the sentiment, wiping his own face after a bit with a small chuckle.]
[He couldn't form the words that he wanted, instead shifting conversation in what seemed to be abrupt.]
Wait one moment.
[He went off for a few moments to collect himself and gather his thoughts, also allowing Kyo the grace to do the same without being watched. He returned after a short period of time with a bottle and two small glasses, sitting in the sand and pouring a bit from the bottle before staking it in the sand.]
Tumblr media
It's from my reserves, so you and Meg both still have your own.
[After handing the glass to Kyo he stared off into the gathering, taking a sip from his own.]
First, it means a ton you'd share that. I know it had to be hard. I'm sorry about Luke, really...
Good thing at least is that everyone seems supportive so far, I don't need his approval... still doesn't mean that it doesn't sting like a Beedrill though.
I didn't know you were a Unova kid too-Gabe and I were born and raised in the boroughs of Castelia for a few years. Similar upbringing. We'd spend our time stealing snacks from the chain stores with Gabe's brother. Never stole from the family shops and bodegas though, they were our people after all. Three kids running around the city without a care in the world and hyped on sugar.
You remind me a lot of him, of Gabe. Good head on your shoulders, really care a lot despite it not being noticed on first glance.
There was only one time in my memory I ever saw him break-well, two, but only one of those is relevant-ish.
We had a friend all those years ago. It was one of the days we had hung out, but I remember there being some chaos at home that night. Turns out he got lost... rather he just never made it home, no one could find him. It was like that for a few weeks with nothing, not even Cadaver-Stoutland had leads. Gabe of course is a bit older than me. I had to have been no older than four when it happened, so I was confused and concerned at best. Gabe however knew what that closed casket meant. He was absolutely inconsolable.
[He poured another little bit of coquito out for each of them, taking some sips before continuing.]
It's rough, and it's tragic to have these things happen to those close to us. All this to say it's not all in your head either, what you're feeling. It's always good to let the walls drop a bit, and it means a lot you trusted me to do so.
[Nat's voice became quieter as he stared off into the sand.]
I just gotta hope he can do the same.

Hey! Good thing I caught ya before we left. I just wanna thank you for comforting Shinji back there...he's been dealing with that pain for a while and needed some more reassurance than what I could give...It's nice to know humans from other worlds care.
@ogre-n-partner Poni @ Kyo
Kyo looked to the side sheepishly as Poni offered her thanks for assisting with Shinji. "It was nothing really," she said, shrugging a little. "I can't speak to his exact circumstances but... loss is loss. I've experienced it just as he has. Coping with it is hard and comes with time, but it helps if you have support along the way."
"I hope that the pain he's dealing with eases some now. I am sure with you by his side, it will make the burden easier to carry, yes?" Kyo added with a smile.

Meg took a step back from her telescope as the Magi fluttered off along the horizon to deliver gifts to their next recipient. She hummed happily. The stars were especially beautiful that night and Kyo's gift had been the perfect way to observe them.
Meg paused for a moment before looking around. It had been some time since she had seen Kyo. She knew Kyo had gone off to speak with Nat, but surely she would have returned by now. Meg quickly scanned the nearby beaches before her eyes landed on the bar. She quickly felt a wave of relief as she spotted Kyo having a drink with another guest at the party. And then said guest kissed Kyo's hand.
They're flirting. The realization sunk like a rock inside her stomach. Sure, she and Kyo weren't anything official, but seeing Kyo flirt with someone else stung. Meg tucked a bit of hair behind her ear as she watched, toying with what to do now, when a semi-frantic waving caught her attention.
Sitting a little ways down the bar from Kyo and Snakebite were Dani and Gabe. Nat had introduced Meg to them last year and it was plain from the looks on their faces that they were in full knowledge of Meg's current predicament.
Gabe raised his eyebrows and nodded his head towards Kyo, offering a bit of silent encouragement to get Meg to intervene. Meg shrugged and shook her head. Kyo looked happy enough over there. She didn't want to encroach on her good time.
Gabe and Dani exchanged a look, whispering something to each other before looking back towards Meg. Dani began to gesture somewhat energetically to Kyo before pointing a stern finger at Meg. To underscore her point, Gabe lifted up a bottle of coquito and nodded his head towards Kyo again. Meg couldn't help but crack a smile. For better or for worse, it seemed they were rooting for here, and they weren't taking no as an answer here.
"Alright, alright, I hear you," Meg mumbled. Taking a breath to steel her nerves, Meg made her way over to the girls at the bar. "Excuse me!" she said, grabbing Kyo and Snakebite's attention.
"Meg!" Kyo practically shouted in excitement.
Meg felt her heart leap into her throat a bit at how Kyo's face absolutely lit up at her approach. Maybe it was from how tipsy Kyo was, or perhaps Meg had just never noticed it before, but the way Kyo looked at her in that moment made her want to melt.
"Hi Kyo," she said, offering a warm smile. Meg aimed her sharp gaze at Snakebite, now emboldened by Kyo's affection. Snakebite was a lot taller than her, but that didn't stop Meg from setting back her shoulders and doing her best to look as equally imposing.
"I hate to interject, but Kyo promised her night to me, so I've come to collect her. Hope she didn't bother you too much." Meg linked her arm with Kyo's and tugged her towards Gabe and Dani at the bar. "Come on, we've got coquito waiting for us."
"Coquito? Oh fuck yeah," Kyo cheered, her speech starting to slur a bit as she leaned against Meg. "Bye Snakebite, catch you around again soon, I hope."
Meg gently tugged Kyo away from Snakebite and led her down the bar to a set of seats near Dani and Gabe. "I'll take that coquito now, please," she said proudly.

Kyo waited a moment as Meowstic translated the morpeko's response back to her. She folded her arms and nodded. "It is indeed a bit odd, but not the most unusual thing I've ever seen. Ever since that... thing emerged from my unit's base, a lot of things have been wildly different than what I am usually accustomed to."
Sensing Alicia's distress as she recalled the sad memory, Kyo waved her hand a little. "It seems you are rather experienced if you have plenty of good and bad instances to pick from. Lets focus on the good one for now then. That Helix Fossil instance sounds like it was quite the adventure!"
(askthewhiterocket) "So you work for the International Police? Fascinating," Kyo mused. "Any particularly stand out missions? I'm sure you have many tales, good and bad."
Tumblr media
Oh, yea, I'm the Pokémon International Police agent. It's probably very rare for you to see that an actual Pokémon working as the one... And yea, I have many good tales. Like how I was tried to revive a lost Helix Fossil, but it took me a bit to revive...and it was quite comical. The robber was pretty dumb and I caught them quickly haha... But what about the bad ones...?
Warning: the next section contains blood.

Gasp...Ag...t P...CH...!
Sorry, I don't want to talk about it...
Alicia gradually becomes sad after this memory.
It seems she doesn't want to talk about the incident.

(@ask-aeos-company) Essie approaches Kyo as she is a bit nervously smile towards another human.
"Hihi! Don't m-mind me, I'm a lil timid when comes to humans. Anna is pretty brave towards them."
She is taking a peak to Kyo's Meowstic.
"Oh, another psychic like me... Anyways, how did you meet this Pokémon? Kinda wanted to know them more, and even talk to them, if ya don't mind."
Essie didn't need to voice her timidness, as her words conveyed such well enough. The espeon's question came through clearly enough for Kyo to understand, though that didn't stop Meowstic from reiterating it to ensure Kyo got the message.
"Ah, yes, well Meowstic is certainly capable of introducing herself, if she wishes," Kyo said.
Meowstic adjusted her position on Kyo's shoulder and smiled at Essie. "A pleasure to meet you. Kyo and I have been partners since we were both very young. She..."
Meowstic hesitated for a moment, glancing at Kyo. "Are you sure it's okay for me to share?" she asked quietly.
"I'll be okay, I promise," Kyo answered, scratching Meowstic's head reassuringly.
Meowstic let out a small chirp before returning her gaze to Essie. "It's nothing particularly momentous. A rather typical trainer meets first partner story. I was born as part of a colony of wild espurr and meowstic outside of Driftveil City, where Kyo is originally from. She and friend of hers caught me together when I ventured a bit too far from the colony's territory. They shared custody of me for a number of years, training and playing with me, before Kyo set off for the WHT RCKT program."
Meowstic wiggled her tails happily. "Hope that answers your question! Happy to answer any more you might have."

Kyo adjusted the quarter sleeves of her shirt as she made her way onto the island. She wasn’t used to wearing something quite so low-cut, but Meg had insisted it was better suited to the tropical climate than what they wore last year. “Well, if she likes it I guess it’s good to wear it,” Kyo mumbled to no one in particular.
‘You’re hopeless,’ Meowstic purred with a smirk.
“Shush,” Kyo hissed quietly.
“Kyo, wait up!” Meg called, running up behind her. “Almost forgot my bag of berries and water in the Skarmory taxi.”
“You caught the pilot before he took off though, yeah?”
“Yep!” Meg said with a big smile. “All set to go to meet with the Magi again this year. I’m so excited! Last year’s visit was so magical.” Meg gazed up at the sky and twirled as they walked. “Oh, Kyo, the stars are just as beautiful as I remember them!”
Meowstic lightly tapped the side of Kyo’s head, snapping her out of her trance as she watched Meg spin across the beach sands. “Ah-! Well, it’s funny you should mention that I uh…” Kyo quickly fumbled for her bag and produced another somewhat smaller bag from inside. “I remembered how much you liked stargazing last year, so I got you something. C-Consider it a Magi Day gift, I guess.” She held the bag out to Meg as she tried to ignore the tightness in her chest.
Meg gazed at the bag for a moment before gently taking it from Kyo’s grasp and opening it. She gasped in delight and looked back up at Kyo. “A travel telescope?” Kyo nodded quietly. “You even got it in blue,” Meg added as she gazed back down at the gift. “How much did this-”
“Ah ah ah, it’s a gift. You’re not allowed to ask that,” Kyo interjected. “Just put it to good use while we’re here, okay? The skies are never this clear in Kanto.”
Meg chuckled. “Too true.” Meg closed the bag back up and quickly trapped Kyo in a tight hug. “Thank you so much, Kyo. This is such a thoughtful gift.”
Kyo froze up for a moment, completely unprepared as Meg’s excitement turned into one of the tightest squeezes she could muster. Kyo’s face turned bright red and she managed a quiet, “You’re welcome,” as she hugged Meg back.
Meg released Kyo after a moment and bounced happily in the sand. “Come on! Let’s hurry and meet the others so we can ask them where a good place to set this up would be.”
“A great idea. Let’s be off,” Kyo said with a smile.
[Kyo and Meg have arrived at the Magi Retreat. Ask them something?]

Meg and Kyo listened along again as Alicia began to ramble. The Unova the Morpeko was describing sounded vastly different from the one that Kyo had grown up in, but in a world without humans, she supposed it was only natural for it to not resemble her world at all.
"Well, there's certainly no shortage of talent in your world," Kyo mused as she listened to the song. "Did some of them learn their musical skills from their trainers or was it a natural talent?"
Meowstic flicked her tails in annoyance. 'There is no such thing as a wrong gender Meowstic. Edin's coat is beautiful. You rarely see white coat Meowstic with yellow fur.'
Kyo patted Meowstic on the head. "Easy, she meant no offense."
"Also do humans just not exist anymore?" Meg followed up.
(Continued from here) @askthewhiterocket
Oh. Isn't was in Nimbasa, the city of entertainment? I was there when I was on a mission catching a thief who stole Elesa's statue near her ex-Gym, which is now a catwalk stage. Also, y'know, most of the Gyms are no longer function as Gyms anymore, they're now either functioning as a different facilities (probably depending on its theme) or abandoned. In Unova, Aspertia City's one is now a fully functional high school called "Cheren High" that named after the aforementioned Trainer, a Virbank Stage which called "The Virbank Baddies Show", which is not owned by any Poison-type Pokémon, and so on... Don't ask why I know this. Although, I can tell about the Virbank one, this is my dream to come and enjoy the music from my favorite rock band. My favorite is always be Noelle, I want to be like her someday... I know she dressed up a bit weird, but man...
Tumblr media
Alicia somehow to start to daydream about her being a bit like Noelle.
Oof, sorry. Now where was I...? Oh, the Baddies... The songs are mostly covers, but they DO have some unique top hits. Like "Wanderin' the Verses" about their multiverse journey. Let's take a listen.
She starts to play the song. The song is a bit fast tempted, with a guitars and drums. Suddenly, a female sweet vocal popping out too. The chorus is epic and a bit slowed down There also a Lycanroc's "awooo" bridge. The song fades away after the last chorus.
The song has five verses, three choruses, and bridge between the chorus and a fifth verse. The length is about 4:30.
There ya go. That was a song. Anyways, forgot to tell that Noelle that I've mentioned before is a Houndoom drummer. There's a Rimi, a Lycanroc singer, and Edin, a Meowstic guitarist. He's only a male in this band, a trans one, so that's why he's a wrong gender Meowstic form, not going to offense anyone of course. As you know, our music isn't that different from the music humans had. Well, except now you can hear their cries sometimes.
